Birmingham City Council

Service Birmingham is a partnership between Birmingham City Council and Capita. Established in 2006 to support the council in the changing of the way it works using ICT to pave the way. Service Birmingham undertook a SAP tools selection process that included products like Basis Technologies' Transport Express. The challenge for Service Brimingham was to ensure it could support a complex multi-track SAP landscape and provide a raised level of SAP Change Mangement and governance.

Service Birmingham chose Transport Express to management their complex SAP landscape over SAP Solution Manager because of the technologies capabilities for manging SAP Transport Merging, SAP Transport synchronization and the ability to back out a failed SAP transport. These key features were easily enabled within a workflow engine designed to manage a complex SAP landscape with multi tracks to support BAU and SAP projects.
