MDR is a development framework for SAP that enables any ABAP code which processes large volumes of data to be accelerated by anywhere from 2x to 300x the typical processing time.

MDR works with both Standard and Custom SAP ABAP Code in a non-intrusive manner. The code does NOT need to be modified in any way. Your SAP code is optimised by running it inside an MDR Wrapper which can be created by an MDR trained ABAP Developer. Typically, MDR training takes 1-2 days. Alternatively, MDR Wrappers can be created by our experienced development team.

Once ABAP code is converted to run in an MDR Wrapper, it is possible to process large volumes of data in parallel segments rather than as a single sequential run. Each data segment is then distributed to a separate CPU at runtime. Distributing to 2 CPUs will result in roughly a 2x performance improvement. Distributing to 10 CPUs will equate to a 10x performance improvement.

Customers of MDR have achieved up to 300x performance improvements by distributing processing of large data volumes across 300 CPUs.
