Business Data Exceptions (BDEx) has the ability to determine and fix the root cause of SAP Data issues and exceptions.
This means that relationships between exceptions can be established to enable a business user to be informed that an underlying issue exists which is resulting in further exceptions that are simply “symptoms”.
Since it is pointless treating the symptoms as the underlying issue, BDEx saves time for business users as the true root cause must be resolved in order to prevent subsequent problems.
A typical example might be users of SAP CRM who are faced with a range of exceptions relating to a customer including BDOC errors, failed Workflow messages and a range of Work Items. BDEx will highlight the specific transactional data that is causing the issue for the this customer to enable the Service Agent to focus in on the underlying issue. This reduces call handling time and improves customer satisfaction.
