After spending 20 years in the SAP domain with Procter & Gamble, I was delighted to join Basis Technologies earlier this year and step over the fence between customer and supplier. Prior to leaving P&G, I was leading their S/4 Transformation Program in the role of Global SAP Platform Architect and had first hand positive experiences of selecting, deploying and co-innovating with Basis Technologies’ team and solutions.
In my new role of Chief Strategy Officer at Basis Technologies, a key area of focus is strengthening our customer engagement and communication. From sharing stories of our customer successes to the latest ways our customers are co-innovating with us on our groundbreaking solutions, we have a lot to share, but equally have a lot to learn.
As a result, I am delighted to announce that Basis Technologies is launching a Customer Advisory Council focused on our ActiveControl and Testimony products. This new initiative aims to get closer to and provide a forum in which existing and selected prospective customers can connect directly to peers facing similar challenges in striving for automation and optimization in managing complex SAP deployments.
Knowing how difficult it is to find the time (and the travel budget), we have planned it in such a way to remove any barriers or excuses by co-locating the session immediately prior to SAP TechEd which many of our customers attend. I know first hand how valuable these forums can be, especially when coupled with the opportunity to connect with others in similar roles in large enterprises as a means to compare notes, share ideas and build lasting relationships.
The format will be a hosted half-day afternoon event with a dinner and ample opportunity to network. This year, we are hosting the councils in Las Vegas on September 23rd and in Barcelona on October 7th, both immediately prior to TechEd.
The draft agenda foresees at least four sessions including a customer presentation and Basis Technologies expert sessions covering topics such as Accelerating S/4 Transformation, Achieving Continuous Testing in SAP, Customer success driven from ActiveControl 8.0 latest capabilities and a moderated discussion. Speakers will include our CTO (James Roberts) and other thought leaders within Basis and the industry. As the event approaches, we will ask those planning to attend for input to help shape the topics and agenda.
