Martin Metcalf appointed CEO of Basis Technologies

The Basis Technologies board are delighted to announce that Martin Metcalf has been appointed as new group CEO of Basis Technologies (BTI) effective from the 1st February 2013.

Martin takes over the role from Phill Sly, who will remain a co-founder within the business in an advisory and ambassadorial role.

Martin has a wealth of SAP experience previously as a SAP Regional Managing Director responsible for the UK, Ireland, Nordic Countries and the Sub-Sahara Africa sub-continent and recently as the founder and Managing Director of PASaPAS UK a specialist on-demand SAP support provider.

Former CEO, Phill Sly said “I am thrilled to welcome Martin, his strong SAP background and knowledge of Basis Technologies make him an ideal candidate to lead the company and I’m excited about the positive effects that he will have on our customers, employees and business partners. I would like this opportunity to personally thank everyone for their continued support past and present.”

Martin Metcalf added “Phill Sly has done a brilliant job of developing a software concept into a fully functioning international business backed by a professional entrepreneurial team. BTI has reached an exciting time in its evolution and I intend to use my 20 years of SAP experience to help enhance and protect our customer’s SAP investments.”

The Basis Technologies board is confident with the new appointment that BTI has both the leadership and the team to build on its existing strengths, which will ensure future sustainability and growth.
