Basis Technologies International (BTI) today announced that its Mass Data Runtime version 7.0 has achieved SAP certification as powered by the SAP NetWeaver® technology platform. The powerful accelerated processing capabilities of Mass Data Runtime enable customers to achieve dramatic performance improvements when running ABAP™ programming language code that processes large volumes of data.
The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified that Mass Data Runtime 7.0 has achieved powered by SAP NetWeaver status as an add-on to SAP ABAP 7.0 for the SAP ERP 6.04 application.
MDR is a software solution that enables ABAP code that processes data, including standard SAP applications, to do so more quickly through distributed processing – effectively sharing the work across multiple CPUs. Mass Data Runtime customers have achieved performance improvements between two and 300 times, depending on available processing capacity.
BTI’s technical director Craig Oliver is confident that customers will be impressed by the performance improvements that can be achieved.
“Every customer who is using Mass Data Runtime is impressed with the performance increases we have been able to achieve,” said Oliver. “So much so that the question in their mind hasn’t been ‘if’ it works or ‘how well’ it works, but ‘which program can we accelerate next?’. These are exciting times given that the product is now certified by SAP and can now also accelerate standard ABAP code.”
