Basis Technologies welcomes long-standing tea company Twinings as their latest Transport Expresso customer. Twinings has been selling tea since 1706 and today they sell more than 200 teas in over 100 countries worldwide.
Their global business is underpinned by a robust IT system that has two clear objectives: on-going business support and major projects. This includes the development of business intelligence systems that will improve their business decision-making capabilities and have a hugely influential part to play in achieving their commercial objectives. As part of this development Twinings approached Basis Technologies to support them with the development of their SAP deployment.
Basis Technologies have introduced their solution Transport Expresso to aid automating transports within their SAP system. Before Transport Expresso, Twinings’ basis support team were spending 50% of their time manually processing transports. With the introduction of Transport Expresso, all SAP transports will be moved automatically between SAP environments without manual intervention resulting in a faster and more accurate change and release process. The complexity of applying changes will be fully managed too, thus freeing up the basis team to focus on other much needed support areas.
Once installed fully, Twinings will look to use Transport Expresso to reduce the time taken to implement SAP change, achieve reductions in system downtime and see improved productivity across their many SAP project teams.
